On 21 June 2024, the South China International Industry Fair (SCIIF) 2024, jointly organized by Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai and DLG Exhibitions & Events Shanghai Industry & Commerce Exhibition Co., Ltd. came to a successful close at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Bao’an New Hall).
Held concurrently with MATERIALS 2024, SCIIF 2024 covered a total area of 80,000 square meters and featuring over 800 exhibitors. The fair was divided into seven major themed exhibition areas, including industrial automation, machine vision, laser technology, CNC machines and metal processing, robotics, new generation IT and applications, industrial internet, testing and measurement. It fully showcased innovative technologies, products and solutions across the intelligent industrial chain. In three-day event, countless new products, technologies, and concepts made their debut at SCIIF 2024, spanning the entire industrial manufacturing value chain. From precise automation equipment to intelligent software systems, and from the application of eco-friendly materials to the concept of green manufacturing, each display is a profound interpretation of new quality productive forces. The rapid development of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies has made even simple tasks like screw tightening possible through mature industrial automation solutions.

Baowu Group, owning the first robot with full independent intellectual property rights, brought its Turin Robot screw-locking workstation to the fair. This station can solve technical problems related to fastening screws at different angles and is now widely used in white goods and automobile parts, offering higher precision, lower cost, and superior efficiency compared to manual labor. The product received a warm response in South China, attracting many visitors during the fair.
Well-known exhibitors making their first appearance at SCIIF, such as Advantech, Rittal, Delta, and Xinje drew significant attention at the site. Their stunning debuts featured a continuous stream of globally launched innovative products and solutions, showcasing how digital and intelligent transformation enhances industrial competitiveness.
OPT Machine Vision Tech, a leader in machine vision technology application and positioned as a core component supplier for automation, affirmed the gathering effect of SCIIF 2024. A highlight of LASERFAIR Shenzhen—the opening ceremony and plenary session of the LMN 2024 World Laser Manufacturing Conference took place on the morning of June 18 at Han's Laser Technology Centre. At the conference hall, over 700 attendees including relevant leaders from Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City, industry experts, university representatives, and corporate colleagues witnessed the launch of this grand laser industry event. From the afternoon of June 18 to June 19, ten sub-forums of the LMN 2024 World Laser Manufacturing Conference were held at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Bao'an New Hall). These carefully organized sub-forums not only provided participants with opportunities to deeply understand the latest trends in laser technology but also built a good platform for exchange and cooperation with peers.
Pioneers in the laser industry have already taken steps to tackle core technologies as they advance towards higher ends. The "Secret Light Awards" (SLA), a top-tier award for the entire laser industry chain created by the China Laser Industry Innovation Contribution Award Organizing Committee, Laser Manufacturing Network, industry authoritative experts, and multiple domestic laser industry associations, laser societies, and laser industry alliances, was unveiled. Among them, a highlight event of the new generation information technology exhibition—the "Greater Bay Area (Shenzhen) Industrial Internet Conference and Industrial Digital Transformation Summit 2024 " was held alongside SCIIF on June 19. This conference marked its third appearance at SCIIF and its first "Industrial Digital Transformation Summit" topic session. It invited experts and big names from Shenzhen University, JD Industry, Guangdong Unicom, Huawei, Tencent, focusing on hot topics such as digital transformation, intelligent upgrade, supply chain compliance and digital economy. From policy sharing, industry foresight, technology and case sharing, the summit dig out the pain points and difficulties of industrial enterprises in the transformation, promoted the landing of the new industrialization with digital solutions. During the fair, more than 30 summit forums, specialized seminars and procurement-supplier matchmaking events were successfully held.
