Founded in 1999, the CIIF has become the most influential and most authoritative international industry exposition in Asian-Pacific region upon over 20 years of development. Over the past two decades, the CIIF has built an important platform for exhibition, exchange and trade for China and the world's industrial enterprises and technologies, and has provided strong support for China's industrial development, especially for Shanghai's industrial development.

Free ports, special administrative regions, special economic zones, free trade pilot zones and other systems are superimposed in the Greater Bay Area, providing many choices for trade and industrial cooperation. In the meantime, compared with other major urban agglomerations in China, the resource allocation and development in the Greater Bay Area are much more balanced, more closely linked, more internationalized and more synergistic.

Reich added, the Greater Bay Area has complete industrial system, not only with a strong manufacturing industry chain, but also a new Internet economy represented by Shenzhen. The Greater Bay Area is one of the regions with the highest degree of openness and the strongest economic vitality in China, and occupies an important strategic position in China's development.

Looking forward to the future, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has set for a new voyage, while China's manufacturing industry has set off a new wave of change. A new generation of information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials are taking a lead in the subversive innovation in the industry. With the rise of Huawei, DJI and other new emerging enterprises, more and more major industrial projects and star enterprises will be cultivated in such areas as new-type display, 5G, mobile Internet, smart robotics and 3D printing in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

On 2-5 June 2020, the first edition of SCIIF will take place at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (New Baoan Hall), with projected area of 120,000 square meters and attracted some2000 exhibitors both at home and abroad, to build an efficient exhibition platform for the whole industry and help enterprises grasp the market opportunities brought by the rapid growth of the industry.

Chengdu International Industry Fair

Chengdu International Industry Fair will be newly “empowered” relied on the brand influence and professional features of CIIF and HANNOVER MESSE, in line the industrial development in Western China.

The 21st century Maritime Silk Road extends from Shanghai to Europe through Singapore, Myanmar and India. Chengdu, situated at an intersection of the “Belt and Road Initiative”, is also a strategic core area of China's important industrial manufacturing industry. According to related data, the value-added of the industrial enterprises above designated size realized an 8.3% YoY growth in Chengdu in the first quarter of 2019, 6.5% of higher than national average, ranked 5th among 15sub-provincial cities, up 0.1 percentage point compared to the same period of the last year.

Reich explained that, “Why the exhibition is in Chengdu is that the local manufacturing industry of Chengdu has made considerable progress, and formed a relatively complete industrial category and industrial system after years of development. The dominant industry boasts outstanding advantages, while the traditional industry has laid a solid foundation with the emerging industries ready to grow. ”
